Dioctyl Phthalate (DOP)

Dioctyl Phthalate (DOP) is a widely used plasticizer in plastic processing. It has good compatibility with most industrially used synthetic resins and rubbers, except for cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate. DOP possesses excellent comprehensive properties, including good mixing performance, high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, water extraction resistance, high electrical properties, and good heat and weather resistance. As a primary plasticizer, DOP is widely applied in the processing of various flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products. It can be used in nitrocellulose paints to impart elasticity and high tensile strength to the paint film. It can also be used in packaging materials in contact with food. Additionally, DOP can serve as a softener for synthetic rubber, which can improve the resilience of products, reduce compression set, and has no impact on the vulcanization of rubber compounds.
