TK-708A is a traditional quaternary ammonium salt-modified refined organic bentonite, an excellent thixotropic suspending agent for solvent systems. It is widely used in oilfield drilling fluids and oil-based freeing fluids, and is also suitable for paints, inks, and other products using low to medium polarity solvents.

Instructions for Use

TK-708A is recommended to be prepared as a pre-gel before grinding. For optimal dispersion, high-shear equipment should be used. TK-708A requires a polar activator for complete dispersion. Suitable polar activators include: propylene carbonate, methanol/water (95/5), ethanol/water (95/5), or acetone. The amount of polar activator can be adjusted depending on the system, generally 30-50% of the organic clay content.
The typical dosage of TK-708A in the system is 0.2-3.0% (by weight).

Packaging & Shipping

Packaging and Storage
The product is packaged in a double-layer packaging consisting of an outer kraft paper bag and an inner polyethylene film bag, or in a valve-type paper bag. The weight is typically 25±0.25 KG or as per customer requirements. When stored in dry conditions, with the packaging unopened, at a temperature of 0℃ -30℃, the shelf life is 36 months.
