Water-based bentonite thickening rheological agent (inorganic gel) is a natural aluminum and magnesium silicate thickening rheological agent. It is a purified and modified montmorillonite clay, appearing as a grayish-white, non-toxic, odorless, and soft powder. Its main component is hydrophilic high-purity (modified) montmorillonite, and its colloidal properties are similar to Veegum or Magnabrite colloidal products from Vanderbilt Company and Colloidal Company in the United States. It exhibits excellent swelling, colloidal dispersion, suspension, thickening, and thixotropic properties in water, making it an excellent anti-settling agent, emulsion stabilizer, and rheological additive for water-based systems. It also possesses good adsorption, ion exchange, and non-migratory bonding properties. In some fields, it is gradually becoming an excellent new type of additive and alternative material.

I. Characteristics:

1. Strong thixotropy: High viscosity at low shear rates, low viscosity at high shear rates, with a thixotropic index of up to 6.0.

2. Wide pH range adaptability: Thickening function is effective within the pH range of 5-12.

3. Easy dispersibility: No need to prepare pre-gels or use polar activators.

4. Stability: Excellent biochemical stability and good thermal stability.

5. Compatibility: Good compatibility with alcohols and highly polar solvents (such as glycerol and sorbitol).

6. Economical: Significant cost reduction when used alone; when used in combination with cellulose ethers and acrylic thickeners, it can improve the rheological properties of coatings.

The product is packaged in a double-layer packaging consisting of an outer kraft paper bag and an inner polyethylene film bag, or in a valve-type paper bag. The weight is typically 25±0.25 KG or as per customer requirements. When stored in dry conditions, with the packaging unopened, at a temperature of 0℃ -30℃, the shelf life is 36 months.
