一、About CIS technology

Contact Image Sensor(CIS）is a scanning camera that closely arranges the photosensitive units and directly collects the light information reflected by the scanned object, because it does not require a lens group, so it is more compact and less expensive. CIS is composed of Light source、Rod Lens array、CMOS image sensor array and its Printed Circuit Board、Protective glass、Housing and so on The CIS line scan camera uses a CMOS color sensor with an integrated LED light source and lens to support color image and grayscale image acquisition. The image produced by the contact image sensor is a target 1:1 reproduction, without distortion and without additional correction, resulting in excellent color realism and perfect resolution. At the same time, the light source system of CIS cameras is highly flexible, and the internal light source type can be customized for the target detection object, and it can also be combined with the external light source system to adapt to a variety of detection types

四、Industry applications CIS line scan cameras are mainly used in continuous material surface defect detection, such as PCB detection, lithium battery film inspection, printing and packaging inspection, photovoltaic panel inspection, metal plate inspection, glass inspection, fabric textile inspection, honeycomb ceramic inspection,scanner/copier, etc. The object to be measured passes through the camera at a constant speed, and the camera continuously scans its surface to detect surface defects. (As shown in the figure below, the red arrow indicates the direction of movement of the object relative to the camera)
