Chemical property: yellowish brown powder. Soluble in nitrobenzene, xylene, tetrahydronaphthalene, slightly soluble in ethanol, acetone, benzene, pyridine, toluene, o-chlorophenol. It turns blue and purple in concentrated nitric acid and orange after dilution.
Application: Restored golden RK is mainly used for dyeing and printing of cotton, viscose fiber, silk, polyester, Uygur cotton and polyester cotton. Due to its serious photobrittleness, it is mostly used for color matching and also for making organic pigments.
Production method: Take reduced golden GK (C.I. VatYellow 4) as raw material, add bromine for bromination until the bromine content reaches about 28%. Add 21kg 10% - 13% oleum, 1.82kg reduced golden GK, 0.1kg iodine, 0.07kg sodium nitrite and 1.3kg bromine into the reaction pot, and brominate at 85-90 ℃. Dilute with water, filter, and wash to get the finished product.
