Fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (AEO), also known as polyoxyethylene aliphatic alcohol ether, non-ionic surfactants in the
development of the fastest, the largest variety. This type of surfactant is an ether formed by condensation of polyethylene glycol (PEG) with fatty alcohols, denoted by the following general formula: RO(CH2CH2O)nH, where n is degree of polymerization. There are different varieties because of the degree of polymerization of polyethylene glycol and different kinds of fatty alcohols.
