Usage method
For painting
A. It is recommended to use a brushing method (using a specialized paint brush) for small areas of coating.
B. When using the brush, it is not necessary to dilute it, but it can be used directly or the viscosity of the brush requires an appropriate amount of diluent (BAC or toluene can be used). The appropriate amount of diluent should be ≤ 5% to avoid reducing its coverage.
C. The luminous paint is a kind of (oily self drying spray/brush paint), which contains polar organic solvent. It may corrode the surface of general water-based paint and elastic paint. For caution, please try it in small areas or hidden places before use.
1. Before brushing, the surface of the coating should be cleaned first. If it is uneven, please repair the surface of the coating and wait for it to completely dry before spraying acrylic series white (flat) primer in advance.
2. In order to improve the luminous effect of luminous paint, it is recommended to spray acrylic series white (flat) primer as the bottom layer before painting.
3. After the primer to be sprayed or brushed is completely dry, the luminous paint can be painted. When painting the coating, please complete a thick coating operation in the same direction, and wait for 15-20 minutes until the surface is slightly dry before the second operation in the same way.
4. During painting construction, do not move the brush up, down, or left or right to brush back and forth to avoid causing uneven dispersion of the luminous powder, which may seriously affect its light storage capacity.
5. The interval between each coating should be 15-20 minutes. It is recommended to apply at least four coats as the minimum reference. Depending on the uniformity of the coating, a fifth or more coats can be added. As the thickness of the paint film increases, its light storage capacity becomes stronger (i.e., the brightness at night is better).
6. The luminous paint (refers to the touch drying time of about 20-30 minutes) can be re sprayed or coated with transparent paint as required after the painting is completed, so as to make the luminous paint surface more beautiful and lasting.
Note
To fully utilize the performance of luminous coatings, it is necessary to achieve complete and correct construction. The following are precautions for construction:
(1) Understand the performance of luminous coatings and apply them according to the specified method. For professional construction, it is recommended to spray one to two layers of polymer coating agent on the bottom layer and completed paint film, which can enhance adhesion, weather resistance, and paint surface life.
(2) Complete surface treatment: Whether the surface treatment is appropriate or not has a significant impact on the performance and lifespan of the paint film. Therefore, it is necessary to completely remove foreign objects such as rust and grease and dry them thoroughly before applying.
(3) The luminous paint should be thoroughly stirred and evenly mixed: luminous paint is a mixture of pigments, resin solution, and luminous powder. From manufacturing to use, there may be a period of time, and it is inevitable that there will be separation and precipitation of pigments or luminous powder. Therefore, it should be thoroughly stirred and evenly mixed before use.
(4) The thickness of one brush application should not be too thick: If the thickness of one brush application is too thick, it is easy to produce phenomena such as diarrhea and wrinkling. Therefore, appropriate control measures should be taken to carry out multi-layer coating construction.
(5) When applying layer by layer coating, the lower layer of paint should be dried thoroughly before construction: When applying layer by layer coating, if the lower layer of paint film is not completely dry, it is easy to wrinkle or even soak the lower layer of paint and peel off. Therefore, the upper layer of paint should only be applied after the lower layer of paint has dried thoroughly.
(6) Avoid construction in low temperature and humid climates: When the temperature drops below 5 ℃, it will extremely reduce the dryness of the paint. At the same time, when the humidity is above 85 RH%, it will produce haze, reduce light, and even affect adhesion. Therefore, construction should be avoided in this situation.
(7) Try to remove dust as much as possible: Dust not only affects the performance of the paint film, but also damages its appearance, so try to remove it as clean as possible.
(8) Angle iron screws and other connections should be coated: For areas such as angle iron connections, welding, or screw installation, as it is not easy to achieve complete construction, additional coating work should be done to make up for it, and attention should be paid to avoiding missed coating or uneven coating.
(9) Pay attention to the amount of thinning agent and do not add any drying agent arbitrarily: If the paint is too thick and needs to be added with thinning agent, pay attention to its mixing amount and do not affect the covering power and film thickness. Generally, the principle is not to exceed 5%. Although drying agents can promote the dryness of paint, excessive amounts of drying agents can easily lead to non drying of the surface and interior, and at the same time, they remain in the paint film after drying to continue to promote the aging of the paint film.
(10) Quick drying: can be heated and dried at 65 ℃± 5 ℃, with a drying time of about 6-10 minutes.
