Benzyl alcohol is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C7H8O and a simplified structural formula of C6H5CH2OH. It is one of the simplest aromatic alcohols and can be regarded as phenyl-substituted . In nature, most essential oils exist in the form of esters, such as jasmine oil, hyacinth oil and Peru balsam.
Function
Benzyl alcohol is a very useful fixative, and it is an indispensable spice in the preparation of jasmine, moonshine.
For the preparation of soap; daily cosmetic essence. However, benzyl alcohol can be slowly oxidizednaturally, and a part of it generates benzaldehyde and benzyl ether, so that the commercial products often have almond fragrance,

Application
