Vat Blue GCDN is a dark blue powder. Insoluble in water, acetone, toluene, ethanol, slightly soluble in chloroform, pyridine, and o-chlorophenol. Yellowish brown in concentrated sulfuric acid, blue in dilution. In the insurance powder alkaline solution is blue, in the acid solution is red blue.
