Reactive Black Dye

1

Reactive dyes, also known as reactive dyes, are a new type of water-soluble dyes that appeared in the 1950s. They contain reactive groups that can react with hydroxyl groups in cellulose and amino groups in protein fibers, and covalent bonds are formed with the fibers during dyeing to form dye-fiber compounds. The product is characterized by bright color, good uniformity, simple dyeing method, high color fastness, homogeneous chromatography and low cost. It is mainly used for dyeing and printing of cotton, hemp, viscose, silk, wool and other fibers and their blended fabrics.

Function and application

Reactive dyes because of its parent dyes, links and active group, make its when use can be combined with fiber form strong covalent bonds, and with a series of other cellulose fibers dyes incomparable characteristics

The importance of soaping

There are two purposes of soap cooking, the first is to remove the non fixed oxide dyes and other chemicals, which is the effect of normal washing; the second is for reducing dyes, high temperature treatment can promote the crystallization of dyes, so that their alignment direction changes, from the original alignment with the cellulose fiber bond to the vertical alignment, to restore the original color light, which is the most important. The soaping agent used is usually anionic surfactant; the soaping temperature is related to the structure of vat dyes, and the vat dyes that are greatly affected must be soaped at 90-100 ℃ for 10-15 minutes, such as VAT violet 2R and VAT olive green B, which will be more vivid and the color will change with the increase of the soaping temperature and the prolongation of the soaping time. However, the color of reduced yellow GCN is less affected by the temperature and time of soaping

Photocatalyst embrittlement of vat dyes

It is found that some of the yellow orange vat dyes have embrittlement effect on cellulose fiber, such as indanthren golden orange G, cibanone yellow R, ALGOL yellow GC, etc. the embrittlement effect of indanthren yellow GK and indanthren orange RRT is relatively weak, while indanthren yellow G and indanthren golden orange 3G have no embrittlement effect basically,

Indanthren orange GG also has a protective effect on cellulose fibers. No embrittlement was found in blue, green and black varieties. For example, indanthren olive green B and indanthren black BB also had protective effects on cellulose fibers. This embrittlement is mainly caused by photooxidation.
