The main application
The main use of it is to color the polyester fiber (polyester) acetate fiber (diacetate fiber, triacetate fiber) and polyamide fiber (polyamide fiber) in the chemical fiber.
Dyeing principle
The vat dyes are insoluble in water. When dyeing, it is necessary to reduce and dissolve them into sodium salt of Cryptochrome in alkaline strong VAT solution to dye the fiber. After oxidation, the vat dyes return to insoluble dye lake and are fixed on the fiber. Generally, the vat dyes have high washing resistance and light fastness. For example, Shilin blue, etc. It is mainly used for dyeing cotton / polyester / cotton blended fabrics; vinylon can also be colored; in the silk industry, it is used for rayon / rayon interweaving and silk discharge printing.
Dyeing process
a. The vat dye itself is insoluble in water. In the suspension dyeing, the dye is suspended in the dye solution in the form of a kind of particle, which has no affinity for cotton fiber. In the process of pad dyeing, the dye particle is dyed with water as the medium to produce a physical adsorption on cotton fiber.
b. The dye particles adsorbed on the fabric are evaporated after being immersed in the solution of caustic soda and sodium sulfite. After being reduced by caustic soda and sodium sulfite, the dye particles dissolve in the water contained in the fabric, forming a cryptochrome with strong affinity for cotton fiber. Under the condition of high temperature and humidity, the cryptochrome further diffuses to the inner layer of the fabric with water as the carrier. The reaction process is as follows:
The dye is reduced to water-insoluble cryptochromic acid by powder in alkaline condition
The reaction between leuco acid and caustic soda produces sodium leuco acid and dissolves in water
c. After the fabric leaves the reduction steamer, the cryptochrome is oxidized by air or oxidant to form insoluble dye, which is fixed on the fiber
