Acid Blue G C.I. Acid Blue 93 is a shiny reddish-brown powder. 

Highly soluble in cold and hot water, the liquid is blue. 

It dissolves in alcohol and appears greenish blue. 

Reddish brown when encountered with concentrated sulfuric acid, and blue-purple when diluted.
